Susan “Suzi” Hammer was my maternal grandmother. Born in Berlin in 1930, her family narrowly escaped the holocaust and ultimately ended up settling in New Jersey.

For nearly 50 years, Suzi collected and resold antique and vintage jewelry in order to support her family. She took after her father in this way, who had owned pawn shops before the war. She’d often say she was “born looking for things.”

When Suzi passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2020, the collection remained in the family as she hoped we would continue to sell it.

This shop is in Suzi’s honor, each piece of jewelry is a small memory of her <3
